We live in a time when it is more accepted to say things that previously were considered vulgar, rude or inappropriate but it is less acceptable to express certain political views. This is increasingly the case with the “Woke” / politically correct agenda that far too often advocates banning views that they disagree with because…well, because they disagree with them. The most recent example is where the world of politics and sports intersects.Continue reading “You Can’t Say That!”
At first, that headline sounds a bit ridiculous. California is our most populous state and has an economy bigger than most countries. Yet, things are starting to change and not in a good way.Continue reading “Is California Becoming A Second World State?”
Last week was the anniversary of the riots at the Capitol on January 6 of last year. It was, and still is, an emotional event, so allowing a few days to allow more restrained reflection… Yet, apparently, some do not want more restrained reflection.
Former President Donald Trump issued a statement on Jan. 6, saying in part, “That’s what you get when you have a rigged election.”
The former President does not have a problem with events of Jan. 6. The only thing that mattered to him is that he would no longer be President.
And THAT is exactly why character matters in our choice of a President.
One year ago, rioters stormed our nation’s Capital trying to stop the proceedings of Congress, which was in session at the time. It was the first time since the War of 1812 that violence had been used to storm the seat of our government.Continue reading “Jan. 6: One Year Later”

A group of Univ. of Pennsylvania female swimmers were so upset by transgender swimmer Lia Thomas’ obvious advantages debated boycotting the team’s final meet on Jan. 8 in protest — but decided not to for fear of persecution and that they would be banned from further competition.Continue reading “A New Fascism?”
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has proposed a bill that would prohibit transgender individuals who have gone through puberty to participate in girl’s high school and college sports in the state.
In a related note, there are unconfirmed reports that Rudolph has changed his name to Ramona and is prancing his way through the female Reindeer Games and setting new records in several events.
University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas smashed two US women’s records in a meet in Akron, OH and in a third event beat her nearest competitor by 38 seconds.
Lia Thomas is in her first year of competitive women’s swimming. So what is the key behind the sudden and dramatic success? Thomas previously competed for the school’s men’s team for three years before joining the women’s team.
This should not be surprising, since this is not an isolated case. Similar instances have occurred before including earlier this year in a girl’s high school sports competition. Of course, they all have one thing in common: it is always a former male that is competing as a female, not a former female now competing as a male. Why is that? It’s genetics and it’s obvious: transgender women are not women as it relates to hormones and how that relates to their physical abilities.
This columnist has deliberately waited a while after the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict to comment on anything related, because that trial and verdict has been so polarizing, and people just know the headlines and what they are told on social media.Continue reading “Rittenhouse Verdict In Kenosha”
New York City just opened a ‘Supervised Injection Site’ where drug addicts and go to shoot up and be sure that someone is there to make sure they do so safely, have new needles and do not accidently overdose.
So, said another way, New York City is making sure that people feel safe committing what is still a crime in New York City. There was a time in our society when that was called “aiding and abetting a crime”.
